The conference attracts water leaders from agricultural, urban and environmental interests including water districts, irrigation manufacturers, associations and government agency representatives. Attendees can expect engaging panel discussions touching on the effectiveness of the revolutionary Sustainable Groundwater Management Act, alternative water sources in irrigation, regulatory updates and an interactive session on California’s water future. The Institute is proud to announce Dr. Peter Williams, former Chief Technology Officer for IBM as the keynote speaker. Dr. Williams developed IBM’s environmental and water management program and SMART cities businesses. The conference will conclude with author Eric Kuhn as featured luncheon speaker. Eric Kuhn has a newly released book co-authored with John Fleck, Science Be Dammed: How Ignoring the Inconvenient Science Drained the Colorado River.
