Concepts for water loss component analysis will be introduced. The components of water supplied, authorized consumption, apparent loss, and real loss will be explored in detail with the emphasis on non-revenue water. The class will demonstrate how to detail and develop the non-volume inputs for the top-down water audit which include system data and cost data that are used to calculate performance indicators. The Data Grading Matrix will be reviewed, to reinforce the concepts of scoring data reliability. The Level 1 Validation method will be introduced and exercised, which will be modeled from the Water Research Foundation Project 4639. The class will also focus on field processes and procedures, data gathering and documentation, that should be incorporated into the daily routines for water loss control programming. — Need to make a change to this event?
