Dave Eggerton Joins the Water Education Foundation’s Board of Directors by Caroline Minasian Feb 3, 2020 Water News ACWA’s Executive Director Dave Eggerton is one of the Water Education Foundation’s (WEF) newest board members. Mike Chrisman, Former California Natural Resources Secretary, also joins the Foundation this year as the new Board President. His father, Ira “Jack” Chrisman, was WEF’s founding president in 1977. “I’m excited to be a part of an organization that invests in our future water leaders and instills a depth of knowledge that is essential in understanding California’s water resources,” said Eggerton, a graduate of WEF’s Water Leaders Program. “I look forward to collaborating with the board members and am so thankful for the opportunity to help foster education and outreach.” In addition to Chrisman and Eggerton, new board members in 2020 include: Leslie Moulton, Post, President/CEO of Environmental Science Associates Eric Robinson, attorney and shareholder with Kronick Moskovitz Tiedemann & Girard John Bezdek, attorney and shareholder with Water and Power Law Group PC Erica Bishop, Senior Water Resources Planner/Scientist with GEI Consultants The Foundation was created in 1977 as an impartial, nonprofit organization that aims to increase public understanding of water resources through facilitation, education and outreach. The Foundation utilizes news, maps, publications, workshops and tours to increase awareness and offers the Water Leaders program – a yearlong professional development program to increase water knowledge and enhance leadership skills. Last year, ACWA also created the John P. Fraser Water Leaders Fellowship to honor former ACWA Executive John P. Fraser for his 22 years of service to the association and his numerous contributions to the water community, including the creation of the non-profit that became the Water Education Foundation.
