U.S. House Passes H.R. 2 – Moving Forward Act by ACWA Staff Jul 1, 2020 Water News WASHINGTON, D.C. – After a marathon virtual markup held by the House Transportation and Infrastructure, followed by days of debate on the House Floor, H.R. 2 – Moving Forward Act (DeFazio) has passed the House of Representatives. The final vote was 233 – 188. The $1.5 trillion infrastructure package, which includes over $70 billion for water infrastructure, will be conveyed to the Senate for consideration after the July recess. Water highlights of H.R. 2 include $40 billion for wastewater, $25 billion for drinking water, and $3.5 billion for western water, as well as several new grant programs to treat PFAS.
