University of California Conducting Groundwater Resilience Survey by Caroline Minasian Jun 1, 2020 Water News The University of California, Irvine’s Water Program (Water UCI) has organized a survey of the various California water and groundwater agencies and stakeholders to get a snapshot of where these agencies and stakeholders stand in terms of water resilience, especially groundwater resilience. The survey was organized to help prepare for the workshop, “Strengthening California’s Groundwater Resilience in the Context of Climate Change, Governance, Policy, and Economics.” The workshop is scheduled to be held in June 2021. The five-page survey covers three topics including groundwater resilience, Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) implementation and conflict resolution techniques. Water UCI encourages water and groundwater agencies to download and respond to the survey to help prepare for the 2021 workshop.
