Subject: Association of California Water Agencies Comments on Proposed Additional Modified De-Energization Guidelines and Files Motion for Party Status

Description: ACWA provided comments to the California Public Utilities Commission and the Administrative Law Jude’s Ruling Requesting Comments on Proposed Additional and Modified De-Energization Guidelines. ACWA’s comments recognize public water agencies a key public safety partner, seek clarification that IOUs are not responsible for testing backup power resources at water and wastewater agencies’ critical facilities, and prioritize timely and safe restoration of power to critical facilities. ACWA additionally filed its motion for party status.
