ACWA’s Vision for Our Water Future initiative continues to build momentum, with nearly 85 member agencies and other partners now officially showing their support for a more reliable, affordable and resilient water future for California.

The Vision outlines four key priorities for California’s next generation of water leadership: elevating water as a statewide priority, protecting affordability, delivering critical infrastructure and modernizing water management. ACWA staff continues to develop detailed recommendations to advance these priorities based on input from Vision Working Groups, the General Manager Working Group, the ACWA Board and region boards. The detailed recommendations are scheduled to go to the board for approval in January 2027.

ACWA encourages all members to get involved and help build a unified voice for California’s water future. The Vision for Our Water Future Partner Toolkit includes resources to help agencies share the Vision, including key messages, social media content, important polling information and other materials.

If your agency has adopted a resolution of support or submitted a letter of support but you don’t see your logo listed on the Vision for Our Water Future partner page, please send a copy of the resolution or letter to ACWA Communications Specialist Ellen Martin so your agency can be added.

If your agency has not yet signed up as a partner, we encourage you to consider joining the growing list and help demonstrate the water community’s commitment to a strong water future for California.
