Biomass projects can improve water quality and yield, reduce severe wildfire risk, provide reliable electricity generation, decrease GHG emissions, and increase economic opportunities in the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI), yet the projects remain exceedingly difficult to develop. This program will feature discussions on the link between forest health and water supply, the potential benefits of emergent biomass technologies fueled by sustainable forest management practices, as well as the obstacles that stand in the way.
