She graduated with honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara, holding a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Planning. Following her appointment, President Langford expressed, “It’s an honor to be elected as Board President. During my tenure, I aim to expand resources and community outreach in Division 1 communities [South Los Angeles, Compton, and Inglewood] and the entire 43-city service area, working towards making California a renewable economy with water sustainability at the forefront.” As a native Angeleno, President Langford acknowledges the significance of ensuring climate-resilient water resources, particularly in drought years. She also emphasizes the importance of educational opportunities to empower youth and provide opportunities for learning about the water industry and environmental field.
