Water Conservation and Water Use Efficiency Policy Principles

PP Water Conservation In March 2009, ACWA released its “Policy Principles on Water Conservation and Water Use Efficiency,” to help frame key issues related issues as part of a comprehensive water use efficiency policy.

The 15 policy principles address the need for both water conservation and water use efficiency, implementation of the 20 x2020 goal, the need for a unified statewide effort by all water users, the importance of transparent and accountable local water management in both the urban and agricultural sectors, and the need for effective public outreach on the topic,  among other issues.
