ACWA Associates Program Subcommittee
Subcommittee is tasked with reviewing and refining the existing ACWA Associates Program, while considering additional opportunities to expand its scope and impact to Members and Associates alike.

Oversees the creation, implementation, and pilot of this new certificate program, which supports non-dues revenue and highlights member achievement.

Advanced Clean Fleets Working Group
Direct ACWA advocacy on all fleet related issues- primarily the Advanced Cleant Fleet Regulation, but occasionally related regulations/programs at CEC/CARB.

Drinking Water and Energy Subcommittee (Federal)
Advise the Federal Affairs Committee on issues including, but not limited to: Safe Drinking Water Act, chemical and cyber security, EPA issues & budget, energy-water nexus, hydropower, climate change, tax issues.

Infrastructure and Agriculture Subcommittee (Federal)
Advise the Federal Affairs Committee on issues including, but not limited to: infrastructure funding, Clean Water Act, Farm Bill, conservation programs, infrastructure legislation & implementation.

Water Supply Subcommittee (Federal)
Advise the Federal Affairs Committee on issues including, but not limited to, Bureau of Reclamation issues & budget, water recycling and desalination, Endangered Species Act, invasive species, USGS water programs & budget, Colorado River issues, headwaters/ wildfire, drought resiliency.

This Subcommittee reviews recent and proposed developments in Brown Act requirements and public meeting access best practices.

City and County Planning Nexus Subcommittee
This Subcommittee focuses on planning activities by cities and counties and their interplay with and impacts to ACWA member interests, including water supply and infrastructure, water efficiency, and housing and accessory dwelling units.

Paving Standards Subcommittee
This Subcommittee focuses on issues related to paving standards requirements and ACWA members’ relationships with cities, counties, and special districts related to this issue.

State Legislative Committee Feedback Subcommittee

This Subcommittee reviews legislative proposals relevant to the Local Government Committee’s purview and provides feedback to the State Legislative Committee (SLC) for consideration. This Subcommittee meets as needed, prior to the SLC meetings, to provide feedback on legislation regarding local government.
