Water for Tomorrow

In early 2009, ACWA joined forces with National Geographic Custom Publishing to produce “Water for Tomorrow,” a new consumer-focused magazine on California water.

The 20-page, four-color magazine provides Californians with fresh and practical information on the state’s water system, ongoing water supply challenges and the need to use water as efficiently as possible. Printed in both English and Spanish, the magazine features quick facts, in-depth articles and how-to tips on conservation.

The first issue was unveiled in May 2009 and covered topics such as where Californians get their water, the value of water, challenges confronting the state’s water system and more.

Produced under a cost-effective agreement with National Geographic Custom Publishing, the magazine is available for ACWA member agencies to subscribe to and distribute to their customers. The magazine is also being distributed at events around the state.

A companion Web site, www.waterfortomorrowmag.com, features much of the content featured in the printed publication. Additional issues are planned for spring 2010 and fall 2010.
