WRDA 2020 Advances to House Floor by ACWA Staff Jul 15, 2020 Water News WASHINGTON D.C. – Today the U.S. House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure advanced the bipartisan Water Resources Development Act of 2020 (WRDA). The bill, voted unanimously out of Committee with amendments, will progress to the House Floor for debate and is likely to pass. This is latest action for the WRDA 2020 package, following Committee hearings and passage of related legislation by the Senate in early May. Once the House passes its WRDA package, both bodies will begin a Conference Committee to merge and finalize the package. ACWA supports the advancement of WRDA 2020 and has engaged with both House and Senate Committees to voice support for the legislation. ACWA staff will continue to monitor the development of the package and work with Congressional staff to provide feedback.
