All 10 Episodes of “California H2O” Flowing For the Future” Video Series Now Available by Heather Engel Dec 10, 2019 Water News ACWA has created and released all 10 episodes of the video series, “California H2O: Flowing For the Future” to help member agencies inform their customers, elected officials and key stakeholders about critical water issues. The final four videos debuted last week at ACWA’s Fall Conference & Exhibition in San Diego. The videos offer a statewide perspective on important water issues and feature interviews with member agencies to highlight the innovation and collaboration of local agencies. The new episodes, now available for download, are described below: “Urban Innovation” showcases state-of-the-art technologies and innovation being used to increase water supply and drought resilience. “From Peaks to the Pacific” reinforces the need for headwaters management to protect the state’s water supply reliability and water quality in the face of devastating wildfires. “A Powerful Connection” examines water agencies’ long history of renewable energy projects and energy efficiency practices. “Replenishing Groundwater” highlights collaborative partnerships across the state that are successfully ensuring sustainable groundwater levels. ACWA member agencies are encouraged to either download the videos from ACWA’s website or link to them at www.acwa.com/H2OVIDEO. The full-length videos are approximately five minutes long. Shorter versions are also available for promotional purposes and as social media teasers. ACWA’s Communications Committee developed the concept for the video series in 2017 and the Board of Directors approved it in March 2018. ACWA hired J Comm, Inc. to produce the videos in coordination with the Communications Department. Funding for the project is provided by ACWA and member agency sponsorships.
