CRESCENTA VALLEY WATER DISTRICT’S RECIPE FOR STAYING CONNECTED DURING THE PANDEMIC by Crescenta Valley Water District Oct 15, 2020 Member Submitted News Amidst the pandemic and subsequent changes to employee work schedules, to increase social distancing, the Crescenta Valley Water District found a creative way to stay connected and revitalize work-relationships that were temporarily put on hiatus. Employees and Board Members contributed family recipes and inspirational quotes to serve as a strong reminder that the work-family unit is very much intact and that members of the CVWD family can continue to support each other in a remote work environment. Collecting recipes for CVWD’s “Safe at Home Cookbook” https://www.cvwd.com/safer-at-home-cookbook began in the third week of April, during the first peak of COVID-19 cases, when uncertainty and widespread fear created by the pandemic was at an all-time high. Final contributions to the cookbook were collected in the first week of August, which coincided with the second peak of COVID-19 cases. During this four-month period… “the cookbook was a unique project that kept us together and temporarily took our minds off an unprecedented time in our lives” said Judy Tejeda, CVWD Board Member.
