Free Infrastructure Funding Fairs Coming to Southern California Aug. 29-30 by Teresa McGaffic Aug 25, 2017 Water News The California Financing Coordinating Committee has scheduled its last two funding fairs of the year on Aug. 29-30. Water districts and other public works agencies are invited to attend and learn about infrastructure funding opportunities. The State Water Resources Control Board and six partner agencies will offer information on loans, grants and bonds, including funds from Proposition 1 (the Water Quality, Supply, and Infrastructure Improvement Act of 2014). Participants will have an opportunity to coordinate resources from more than one program to fund their infrastructure projects. Typical projects include drinking water, wastewater, water quality, water supply, water conservation, water use efficiency, energy efficiency and flood management. The funding agencies are: The State Water Board, California Department of Water Resources, California Department of Housing and Community Development, U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development, U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Reclamation, California Infrastructure and Economic Development Bank, and CalRecycle.
