The Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA) and the California Municipal Utilities Association (CMUA) appreciate the opportunity to provide comments on the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) National Primary Drinking Water Regulations: Lead and Copper Rule Revisions; Delay of Effective and Compliance Dates (86 Fed. Reg. 14063 (Mar. 12, 2021)). ACWA’s 455 public water agency members supply over 90 percent of the water delivered in California for residential, agricultural, and municipal uses. CMUA’s 50 public water agency members deliver water to nearly 75 percent of Californians.
