Deadline Approaching for ACWA Outreach Awards by ACWA Staff Sep 13, 2023 Water News The deadline to apply for ACWA’s Fall Outreach Awards is Oct. 2 and ACWA will announce the recipients at the 2023 Fall Conference & Expo being held Nov. 28-30 in Indian Wells. ACWA’s Outreach Awards recognize members for their advocacy efforts on issues critical to the water industry. Throughout the year, ACWA asks its members to take action on important legislative and regulatory issues, helping create coalitions that directly affect the outcomes of numerous decisions and advance the association’s legislative and regulatory agenda. ACWA’s Outreach Awards recognize the most active member agency in each region, as well as an overall winner and winners in three special outreach categories. To apply, submit your agency’s outreach interactions by Oct. 2 using the online form. You may submit multiple forms if needed. Copies of letters should be emailed to outreach@acwa.com. If you sent ACWA copies of outreach letters to the above email throughout the year, you do not need to resubmit. ACWA member agencies that qualify are also encouraged to apply for recognition in two special categories. The Most Active Small Agency Award honors a member agency with fewer than 50 full-time employees that has engaged on an issue of importance. The Rising Star Award recognizes an agency that has not participated in the outreach program within the past five years. Applicants for these special awards must submit a separate entry form in addition to reporting interactions. More information regarding the outreach awards is available online.
